We Saw Everything And Nothing

We thought we had it all figured out, didn’t we. This is how the world works. This is what’s fun. This is a stable job. This is how to be a human. This is civilised society. That’s their problem, not mine. This is normal, this is normal. Wait. 

This exhibition is a 12 month visual diary of how wrong we were. 

My exhibition presents work that combines nostalgia with the present and our future. The oblivion of youthful naivety that protects us from reality, the fragility of the present, where everything we knew as normal fell quite, pixilated family, birdsong turned to loud, a fugue state of recovery from normality. To the future, we tiptoe into our fresh upside down world hoping that just maybe it will be better that the last ‘normal’.
